Mujeres infieles 5 (2018)

Another sleazy telenovela  - featuring all your favorite tropes of the genre: betrayal, drugs, hyper melodrama, profuse overacting, incessant full frontal nudity, stereotypes run amok... let's dive in.

Agustin (Javier De la Vega) is caught raping a young girl.

The victim's mother (Isis Castellanos) throws herself in front of the child and gets Agustin out of there.

Angelica (Felicitas Cutler) is Agustin's brother. She's being awaken by her lesbian lover Ximena (Estefania Franco).

But Angelica isn't into it. She's found a new lover named Roberto who can get her ahead in acting.

Ximena is very upset and dejected.

NUDITY MARATHON: I'm always impressed when an actress can deliver a long dramatic scene completely in the buff. Estefania Franco delivers a lengthy emotional scene without a stitch.

Angelica is upset - but ultimately (as we'll see) she's ultimately very selfish and only out to help herself.

Angelica learns of the accusation against Agustin and says she can hook him up with a big shot lawyer.

Angelica introduces her brother to Enrique (Alejandro Camacho) who will represent him.

Angelica and Agustin don't have the money to afford such a high-dollar attorney. So, Angelica will have to find another means of payment - namely her body.

Angelica gets completely naked right there in the conference room where Enrique was giving a presentation. Indeed Felicitas Cutler is naked for a lot of this movie - and by "a lot" I mean nearly the whole damn film.

Now we meet the next "mujer infiel" Alicia (Mercedes Regina) and her husband (Carlo Guerra). They are pretty poor and he makes extra money dealing drugs.  [I didn't catch the husband's name, so we'll just call him the dealer.]

Roberto (Leonardo García Vale) is the movie director Angelica is pursuing. He's having coffee with his parents.

Roberto's parents (Rosario Serna and Archie Lafranco)

Roberto's mother takes a shower.

Rosario Serna provides one of the most gratuitous nude scenes I've witnessed in a long long time.  I mean, there is absolutely no reason to show Roberto's mother taking a shower.  Bravo.

The victim's mother continues to try and get Agustino arrested for raping her daughter, but the system is stacked against her with Enrique representing him.

Angelica continues to pursue Roberto to get an acting job.  He's emphatically not interested, but Angelica can be very persuasive.

Ximena finds out that Angelica is still pursuing Roberto when she finds her phone.

Alicia cheats on her dealer husband.

Back at home, the dealer brings home the bacon and then has rough sex with Alicia.

In a film chock full of sex scenes, this one stands out as the best.  Just because it's so nuts - the dealer just goes absolutely ballistic on Alicia right there in the kitchen.

Angelica finally gets the acting gig she was wanting so badly.

But here comes trouble - Ximena walks on to the set with a determined stride.

She's cordial to Roberto - but it sends a statement to Angelica.

The dealer finds out about Alicia's infidelity. He nearly strangles her to death then throws her out.

The victim's mother tells Agustin she wants to get back together. They meet at a hotel room.

She suddenly pulls out a gun and shoots Agustin.

A pretty damn awesome scene.

Five years later. Angelica and Roberto are married, and they're the talk of the town.

Angelica buys drugs from the dealer (Alicia's ex).  Roberto does not approve.

Back at their mansion Roberto lets Angelica know how strongly he disapproves of her fraternizing with the low-life dealer and purchasing drugs.  They are big celebs now; it's unbecoming.

Then they have make up sex.

A shocking turn of events.  We cut immediately to Angelica passed out on the bathroom floor covered in blood and holding a knife.

She wakes up and washes the blood off.  Roberto's body is nowhere to be found.  She calls the police.

Roberto's parents are naturally devastated.

Angelica returns to Enrique for legal help.  She is a suspect in Roberto's murder.

Once again she'll have to pay Enrique in his favorite currency.

Angelica hasn't learned any lessons.  She starts spending like crazy - even buying more drugs from the dealer.

She even invites the dealer to her home for some rough sex.

But as she's getting pounded she has flashbacks of the dealer killing Roberto.

Was Roberto killed by the dealer?

But then Angelica starts to wonder if she murdered Roberto.  She has a nightmare about stabbing Roberto and dragging his body to her car.

Angelica basically loots Roberto's bank account and buys things for Ximena.

Roberto's parents start to wonder about Angelica's suspicious activity and confront her about it.

But Roberto isn't dead! Not only is he alive, but he has been monitoring her activity since his faked death.

Suffice it to say Roberto wasn't thrilled with her behavior (having sex with the dealer, her lesbian lover, buying drugs, etc.).  She's tossed to the curb like yesterday's garbage.

The dealer also has his comeuppance as the police have him in custody.  Alicia gets her revenge by testifying against him. THE END

REVIEW: This had about everything you'd want in a trashy telenovela style film - constant nudity and over-the-top melodrama.  Felicitas Cutler is fully naked repeatedly, and basically every actress in the film disrobes at one point (even Roberto's mother for no reason).  But it does get a little repetitive and I would have liked less tattoos.  Just saying.
