Surprised by nudity: examples where either the nudity itself comes as a shocker - or the level of nudity wasn’t in the cards. The textbook example would be Just One of the Guys; we take it for granted now, but those boobs at the end of the film had everyone doing a spit take back in the day.
Barbara Crampton - Re-Animator (1985)
Megan (Barbara Crampton) is kidnapped by the evil scientist Hill and brought to the morgue where her lobotomized father is ordered to strip her naked. Even worse, her father puts Hill's head between her legs right before the rescuers arrive.
This scene is so well-known now it seems quaint to call it a surprise. Especially considering Crampton is topless in bed in an earlier scene. But full frontal did not seem to be on the menu for this film - especially not under these sleazy circumstances. There's a reason this scene is so well known.
Chere Bryson - The Nude Bomb (1980)
Despite the title of the film, this is a family friendly movie; a Get Smart film. So, I certainly wasn't planning on seeing nipples - but that's exactly what we get from Chere Bryson. She's the tourist on the right chewing gum who gets wet from the accident. Just wow.
Maritza Olivares - El retorno de Walpurgis (1973)
Let's be honest, we'd be surprised if there wasn't nudity in a Paul Naschy film. But was I expecting Olivares to stroll in fully naked? Nope.
Katia Christine - Le amanti del mostro (1974)
There's an unwritten rule that you don't save the nudity for the last few minutes of a movie. This whole film is one long historical drama that would be appropriate for Masterpiece Theater. But then Kinski goes nutso and kills Katia Christine. He strips her naked and manhandles her in the final moments of the film's climax.
