Salieri, already prone to self-indulgence, goes all-in with this one.  A couple on their honeymoon gets lost in a surreal adventure of sleaze; none of which makes much sense, and I suppose a rational storyline was never intended to begin with.

A French dark comedy taking on the Frankenstein story.

Yes, these auditions are obviously all fake, but this VHS features so many of the sexploitation queens we know and love providing full frontal nudity including Gail Thackray. We just have to check it out.

(Original Title: Elle ou lui) A dance student falls to her death off a balcony.  Who is to blame?  Another girl in the dance class gets into a relationship with the instructor, which compromises her relationship at home.

Strip Club Slayer (2016)

 

The title sets us up for a bit of a let down.  There's no strip club slasher; in fact, one guy dies at the start of the film and that's it.  The rest is just sex scenes.

This was in "The Better Sex Video" series (not sure which volume).  There are a ton of these videos which purport to provide illustrative tools to improve your sex life.  Nina Hartley had a long running series of videos, and this is just one of the many.  As interesting oddities in the sexploitation landscape, these can be interesting and perhaps we'll explore more.

The Heart of the Night (1984)

 

(Original Title: El corazón de la noche) A bizarre Spanish film about a driving instructor who falls for a mute girl affiliated with a handicapped cult.  Featuring Marcela Camacho who is basically naked in all her scenes.

Butterscotch Over Berlin (1997)

 

There was a series of Italian erotic comics by Milo Manara which somehow found their way to late-night cable adaptations on Skinemax; then, released as individual films on DVD. The comics (fumetti) tell of a substance which turns a guy invisible and the potion smells like butterscotch. The Erotic Misadventures of the Invisible Man (2003), also featuring Gabriella Hall, was a part of this series (although I didn't realize the "grand tradition" of the Butterscotch story at the time). So far, we've covered Butterscotch: Mission Invisible (1997), Butterscotch: Power Flower (1997) and Butterscotch Sunday (1997)
