Private School (1983)

 

One of the horniest of the mainstream teen sex comedies of the day.  Betsy Russell definitely steals the show with some of the best nudity of the eighties (which is really saying something).

Happening (1981)

 

A woman with an old fuddy-duddy husband lives in a sexual fantasy world.  Full of haunting music and a really dark and dreamy vibe, the film follows the woman as she imagines herself out of the humdrum and into sexual adventure.

Mansion of the Living Dead (1982)

 

(Original Title: La mansión de los muertos vivientes) A group of waitresses who visit a hotel in the Canary Islands discover that the monks from a nearby monastery have returned as the living dead. 

Scream XXX (2005)

 

A porn parody of Scream; not much of a connection beyond the killer's mask. 

Forbidden Desires (1994)

 

Mother and daughter have sex with chauffeurs, butlers, flight attendants, school friends, secretaries... pretty much everybody they meet. No plot whatsoever. 

Vendetta (2005)

 

(Original Title: Tutti Dentro!) A nazisploitation film starring Asia D'Argento.  We follow her character from the WWII battlefield to the concentration camp and later into post-war trials; all along the way, D'Argento winds up at the center of dangerous situations.

The Holy Grail (2006)

 

(Original Title: Der Heilige Gral) This film was also titled Cara Maestra 2 (a sequel to a Tarantino imitation about nothing), but bears no connection beyond Asia's character.

The Bird with the Crystal Ball (2000)

 

Original Title: L'Uccello dalle Palle di Cristallo) A take on Dario Argento's L'uccello dalle Piume di Cristallo.

Dear Teacher! (2004)

 

(Original Title: Cara Maestra!) With a hamfisted Tarantino style, the film is really about nothing other than vibing off of his aesthetic with hardcore material.

Featuring the great Barbara Mills who is taken under the wing of three friends who want to make a "modern woman" out of her.

Through the Looking Glass (1976)

 

A rich woman becomes spellbound by a mirror in her attic which harbors a demon on the other side who takes the form of her incestuous father.

Sex World (1978)

 

If you remember the show Fantasy Island, this is basically that.  A bus takes a passengers to Sex World where their sexual fantasies are fulfilled and their sexual hangups solved.

Two losers get a truck driving job in order to pick up chicks.  This was the seventies, and there was a lust for lowbrow.  So, the plan works - the comedy duo delivers a truckload of desks to a school, and has sex with hookers and hitchhikers all along the way.

There was an odd tendency to make adult versions of fairy tales and other classic stories in the 1970s. This premiere was held on Times Square in 1976 and attended by Andy Warhol. Alice is played by Kristine DeBell who I remember as a camp counselor with Bill Murray in Meatballs (1979).

Hot Potatoes (1980)

 

(Original Title: Heiße Kartoffeln) A screwball comedy about an art robbery which leads to the robber having to pretend he's a gynecologist. 

Erotic Boundaries (1997)

 

A woman catches her husband cheating and so does the same.  The infidelity spirals into dangerous intrigue when she finds she's a pawn in a treacherous scheme.

Pornography in Denmark (1970)

 

(Original Title: Pornografie in Dänemark - Zur Sache, Kätzchen) After the June 1969 legislation freeing porn for public consumption, Denmark became a shining example of sexual liberation and the subject of films like Danish & Blue (1970) and Love Games People Play in Denmark (1971) for other countries to marvel and gape.
