The Ice House (1969)

The Ice House (1969) AKA The Passion Pit;  A studly blue collar Casanova becomes a violent maniac when a certain trigger occurs. His bestial side has a tendency to victimize relatives of Jennifer Aniston; it's a Jekyll & Hyde/Freudian trip - armchair psychologists, you've been summoned.

Alucarda (1977)

A Mexploitation film about a new girl (whose parents have died) who comes to live at an isolated convent only to become involved in a satanic cult. Nudity, crucifixions and lots of screaming ensues.

Voodoo Dolls (1991)

A Canuxploitation film about a new girl (whose father has died) who comes to live at an isolated private school only to become involved in a voodoo cult.

Sorority House Massacre II (1990)

The slasher genre had already become stale by 1990. Scream would briefly revive it six years later, but in '90, the formula had grown tired and overly predictable. But Sorority House Massacre still clung tight to the tropes of the genre.  Throughout this review, we'll point out each horror movie survival rule violation as they occur.

Confessions of a Young American Housewife (1974)

The amount of cultural change in just the few short years between 1964 and 1974 is hard to comprehend.  In '64, things were still looked a lot like the 50s, with a very outwardly prudent, modest, and sensibility.  By '74, the runaway beer truck had exploded; gone were "traditional family values". The Sexual Revolution was in full swing, and the US and Western Europe went into full orgy mode.

Star Slammer (1986)

Why should we give Star Slammer a try?  Let me count the ways: It's directed by exploitation extraordinaire Fred Olen Ray, it's about foxy ladies aboard a prison ship, and it features such names as David Carradine, Johnny Legend, Ross Hagen, and scream queen Bobbi Bresee.

It was made in 1984 but wasn't released until 1988 (and I'm not sure why IMDb lists it as 1986).   And it earns a whopping 3.3 stars on IMDb... not exactly signs we're in for a cult classic.  But you never know until you try - so, let's dive in...

Lady of the Night (1986)

From the mid-1970s through the mid-1990s, Piero Schivazappa directed only Italian TV mini-series.., but for some reason, in 1986 he took a break from the boob tube shtick to make something for the big screen.  Let's see if it was a big mistake or a singular glimpse at his true calling....

Lady of the Night (Original title: La Signora Della Notte) was basically a vehicle for Italian sex symbol Serena Grandi.

Breaking All The Rules (1985)

It has all the ingredients for a great eighties teen sex comedy: a couple horny teenagers, hot girls, an amusement park... and a stolen diamond?  Alas, if only there wasn't this ridiculous storyline, this might've been ranked among the 80s teen movie greats.  But I'm getting ahead of myself... let's have a look from the start.

Jekyll & Hyde...Together Again (1983)

It's a comedic take on the Bob L. Stevenson classic, with tons of drug humor and Elvira Mistress of the Dark.  What are you waiting for? As Marvin Gaye said, "Please don't procrastinate, it ain't good to masterb...  ", well, never mind what Marvin said, let's have a look....

Head of the Family (1996)

Let's have a look at Charles Band's 1996 horror/comedy hybrid Head of the Family.  It's got mutants, giant telepathic heads, and gratuitous nudity galore. There's  a lot to love about this flick; let's have a look...
