Devil Hunter (1980)
It's a Jesus Franco film, so we know we're going to get plenty of blood 'n' sleaze. Plus it was a "video nasty" - Britain's elite club of verboten videos in the 1980s. I remember being enticed as a teenager by the lurid VHS box (way back in the days before Blockbuster). I know I rented it, but don't have much memory beyond that, so I'm curious to go back and revisit this blast of Euro-sleaze from the past. Let's press play, shall we?

Sweet Trash (1970)
From John Hayes, the director of such classics as Jailbait Babysitter (1977), Grave of the Vampire (1972) and Alimony Lovers (1969) comes an an unusual combination of crime drama, stag film, and working class Irish stage play. But slapping labels on it doesn't do it justice - you have to see for yourself. Let's have a look...
Microwave Massacre (1983)
This is a macabre comedy about cannibalism starring the dude who did the voice for Frosty the Snowman, Jackie Vernon. Rodney Dangerfield almost had the part of the woman-eating serial killer but his price-tag was too high. How could you not be curious about this one? Let's have a look...

The Chick's Ability (1984)
(Original Title: Volúpia de Mulher) Why watch this obscure Brazilian flick when there are so many sleazy exploitation movies still left unwatched? It's part of the so-called "pornochanchada" genre, popular in Brazil from the late seventies until the mid-eighties. A trademark of the genre is that the actresses are basically nude throughout and the sexuality is over-the-top. While Volúpia de Mulher isn't a porno, and it may be a bit tamer than your average pornochanchada, it still delivers the goods with the sexuality turned up to "11". Reason enough to at least give it a try, I'd say. So, let's have a look.

Can You Keep It Up for a Week? (1975)
I'm a sucker for the Confessions films (Confessions of a Window Cleaner, Confessions of a Pop Star, etc); not to mention all those ribald British films of the seventies - several covered here on VZ1. This one has Sue Longhurst and Valerie Leon listed in the credits, so it's an automatic must-see. Let's have a look...
