(Original Title: Prostitution heute) A Schulmädchen-Report film chronicling prostitution in various German cities.
Our exposé begins in Düsseldorf on a street lined with prostitutes
The reporter interviews one of the whores getting a condom
Therese works with another whore (Melitta Tegeler) in her apartment
The reporter asks how she got into this business. It all started when she was shopping
Therese saw so many things she couldn't afford. She needed extra money.
So, Therese met with a madame who ushered her into the business of prostitution
But it didn't take long before Therese was arrested
She ended up in the same bad situation as a lineup of a dozen other whores
Finally it's her turn for the medical exam
Suffice it to say, STDs are a danger for prostitutes on the streets of Düsseldorf
Now we go to Frankfurt where we meet Ms. Krüger (Marlene Rahn) servicing a customer
In Hannover we meet Gerti Witt (Yvonne Ten Hoff)
The other prostitutes don't much appreciate Gerti's unauthorized presence on their territory
In broad daylight the hookers beat the shit out of Gerti
In Hamburg we watch a live performance
A classy nightclub hooker
This Hamburg whore has to be spanked
A crime scene in Duisburg
A dead prostitute is found
The police commissioner (Günther Kieslich) talks to the dead hooker's pimp
In the flashback we see what actually happened; the soon-to-be-dead hooker is confronted by her pimp.
A lingerie salesman presents his wares to a brothel
All manner of funny business going on in this establishment
In Munich we meet a nude model
The model's friend presents her with the idea of earning some extra dough by taking things a step further.
The model considers it
They put on a show for voyeurs, and service clients
It seems she gets blackmail and whatnot from important people
Back when you could smoke on a plane
A can actually remember the ashtrays on the armrests
Frieda doesn't know it but she has an obsessed fan in the audience (Gert Haucke)
Frieda doesn't realized she's being followed
Frieda hangs out with her roommate, a cab driver.
She comes face to face with the psychopath
He stabs her to death
THE END
We're in the very early years of the Schulmädchen-Report film, so it's delivered with the utmost sincerity; not even a wink to let us know they know this "documentary" is just a flimsy excuse to show sex and nudity. The trouble with keeping up pretenses is that it doesn't allow things to get too over the top, or to let the sexploitation elements run amok (as later Schulmädchen-Report film tended to do - to everyone's delight),
