Pretty Cool Too (2007)

The first Pretty Cool movie was a surprising treat.  It was like American Pie, but more risque- especially the more graphic version (released as Emmanuel Pie).  Amy Brassette's insane "cat in heat" scene is among the most memorable WTF sex scenes I've ever seen on film; so, for that alone, I'd say the sequel is worth at least a look...

Super nerd Walter (Eric Fagundes) is given a state of the art flip-phone called "Genie" (Guidance Navigational Expert).

Walter is friends with his even nerdier neighbor, Agatha (Julia Lehman).  She's putting the finishing touches on her latest invention.

A thunderstorm rolls in, and electrocutes Walter - traveling from his new phone to Aggie's invention.

Freshly electrocuted, and a disheveled mess, Walter stumbles into the bathroom where his asshole brother's girlfriend, Brittany (Angela Dodson) is taking a bath.

Her screams are stopped short when Walter tells her he was never here.  The phone appears to have the ability to make anyone do as he commands.

The film is full of Walter making juvenile use of his new power.  He tells Aggie's mean stepmother to do whatever she says.  When she says to "screw herself", the stepmom acts accordingly.

Next door, they're filming a "live on demand" show called "The Playpen", featuring five barely clothed girls.

Walter calls them up and gives them each a command which will cause embarrassment to each of the girls.

Crystal (Kristyn Green) for instance will erupt into hiccups if she tells a lie.  In the background is Debbie (Jennifer Day) who will be overcome with gas.

The house quickly devolves into chaos, with Tracy (Tiffany Shepis) commanded to be aroused by the gay photographer, and Debbie just farting away in the wicker chair.

Walter continues to use his device for amoral aims, causing Brittany to become excited at his command. [You might remember in the adult Candid Camera film, What Do You Say to a Naked Lady? (1970) we have a similar scene where the power of suggestion sends a lady on a chaise lounge into ecstasy.]

Poor Aggie is left all alone - abandoned by Walter to pursue his newfound powers.

The flip phone's genie appears in Walter's room - played by Brandi Williams.

Of course this is all a bit too much like Weird Science with Kelly LeBrock in the Brandi Williams role.Writer Rolfe Kanefsky had a habit of making movies where a handheld piece of tech could trigger arousal.  See The Body Beautiful (1997) and the entire "Click" series.

The genie takes the form of Aggie in a sexy outfit.

Actress Julia Lehaman, who ended up with a successful run on TV (Modern Family, The Monica 90404, Narcos: Mexico), provides a nice topless scene.

Seeing this (Genie in the form of Aggie) makes Walter realize that Aggie is hot, and what the hell has he been doing playing these silly mind games with his phone.

Aggie and Walter kiss in front of a television showing the girls on "The Playpen".  THE END

This sucked.  It lacked the rowdy humor and over-the-top sex of the original Pretty Cool.  It had barely any nudity - despite having ample opportunity.  The "Playpen" girls never get naked, except for Debbie, who gets topless.  What a waste of a setup!

I searched diligently to see if there was a dirty version (as there was with Pretty Cool, the original); it would make perfect sense, as this movie seemed like one long setup for gratuitous nudity, yet providing almost none.  But I came up empty.

To be honest, even if there were a dirty, unrated version out there, it still wouldn't be worth it. This had none of the genuinely humorous gags or the contagious fun which was present in the original.  A total disappointment.
