Terror Express (1980)

Passengers aboard a train are assaulted and terrorized by three thugs.

As the train is ready to depart we meet the central characters.  Three thugs harass a woman in a telephone booth.

The woman, Juliet (Silvia Dionisio), is actually a high dollar prostitute

Sini (Roberto Caporali) and Lisa (Gianfranca Dionisi) are parents who have trouble dealing with their spunky teenage daughter.

Sini is annoyed that Evelyn (Fiammetta Flamini) is talking to her boyfriend

The train leaves the station and the three thugs are aboard

They make themselves a nuisance in the dining car

Anna (Zora Kerova) thinks it's groovy, but her fuddy duddy husband Mike (Venantino Venantini) is not amused.

Peter (Gianluigi Chirizzi) is in handcuffs, being transported by a police officer (Giancarlo Maestri)

Juliet gets dressed preparing for her first customer

Sini sits with his daughter Evelyn and things get uncomfortable...

As she likes to sleep in the nude

So, Sini releases his sexual tension with Juliet (rather than his wife Lisa).

Having rejected her husband Mike's advances, Anna is more than willing to get it on with one of the thugs, Ernie (Carlo De Mejo), in the bathroom.

But things take a turn when the other thug, Nico, joins in.

Lisa, Evelyn and other watch with alarm as Anna emerges - clearly in bad shape...

David (Werner Pochath) injures the cop and takes his gun

David shows Lisa her daughter's tits.

Lisa begs Juliet to keep whoring for the thugs - otherwise Evelyn will be next.

Juliet is helped by Peter who tries to take out the thugs.

Mike is determined to have sex with his wife Anna.

He can't understand why she'd do it with the thugs but turn him away.

Ernie takes a liking to Evelyn.

It seems the feeling is mutual

I'm actually pretty surprised to see Fiammetta Flamini do this level of nudity.  She was fairly popular singer - and this was her only film.

Fiammetta Flamini released weird disco trash, standard for the time.

Peter finally gets his revenge.

I'm not sure if we're to understand that Peter is also going to die from his wounds.

Evelyn is sad to see Ernie go. THE END

I've said this before about these hostage films - it's really hard to maintain the tension; eventually things get tedious, and this is no exception.  That being said, this was sprinkled with enough sleaze and problematic behavior to maintain some interest.  Bravo disco queen Fiammetta Flamini.

 ★★★★★☆6/10
