REVIEW: These Electric Blue films are the definition of cheesy naughty fun. I think if they had not been part of a the Electric Blue magazine show and stood on their own as a series, it would have been more embraced and well-loved. It's almost like these gems were hidden, buried in this magazine format show, which often focused on pornos and didn't exactly match the lighthearted and softcore tone of the featurettes.
 



SYNOPSIS

Dr. Lamarr (Jerry Butler) is on the brink of a new invention: x-ray specs. His experiments are for the military - so he works with Lt. Bartok (Heidi Paine). Dr. Lamarr's assistants (Krista Lane and Jennifer Delora). Lamarr asks his assistants to stand behind a lead wall to test out his specs. It works! He sees right through their clothing. But Lamarr also sees through Lt. Bartok's clothing, Bartok and Lamarr go to a show. Lamarr slips on the glasses... He can suddenly see the performers naked. He even sees the waitress (Amy Brentano) naked. Lamarr receives a message to meet someone upstairs. He finds the woman he thinks sent him the message. He sees her naked, and she gets offended at his reaction. The same thing happens with the next woman. It happens with a third woman (Cara Lott), but this time she slaps the glasses off his face, and they go flying out the window.

Lamarr delivers the bad news at the lab. Victor (Alan Naggar), his collaborator, is unhappy to learn that there is no way to remake the specs because the secret formula has been spilled. A homeless wino finds the x-ray specs in the dumpster. He sees the girls in the apartment above without their clothes. Viktor arrives to retrieve the glasses and wrestles them away from the bum. However a cop (Annie Sprinkle) arrives and arrests them both. In jail, the bum can see through the cop's uniform. Lamarr bails Viktor out of jail and happily returns to the lab with the x-ray specs. The lab assistants are ecstatic (and naked, viewed through the glasses).

Viktor seems unusually interested in keeping watch over the specs - and sees Bartok naked. We find that Viktor is actually a Soviet spy and is trying to steal the glasses for the Russians. Lamarr and Bartok have sex.Viktor and His Excellency (Harvey Siegel) have come to take the x-ray specs - and they take Bartok hostage. But Lamarr has the perfect plan. He has His Excellency wear the specs - which are actually just ordinary glasses. Then he has Bartok and his two assistants get naked. Now His Excellency believes he's wearing x-ray specs, when in fact it's just an ordinary pair of glasses. Lamarr, Bartok and the assistants celebrate their victory. Bartok tries on the glasses herself, and they fool around. THE END
