La Liceale (1975)

 


(AKA The Teasers) Gloria Guida smokes up the screen in this, the first of five La Liceale films from Italy.

RATING: ★★★★★★☆☆☆☆ 6/10

REVIEW:  Giuda is smoking hot in this film; it's no wonder it spawned sequels. Add in nudity from Ilona Staller and Angela Doria, and you've got yourself quite a sex romp. Unfortunately, there's not much of interest beyond the skin, with a lame story and even lamer gags. But let's face it - the film's prime purpose is to titillate, and in that arena it succeeds admirably.

SYNOPSIS

Your standard seventies classroom, full of snickering teenagers. Students: Loredana (Gloria Guida) is the popular girl;  Lucia (Angela Doria) is the nerd. Loredana likes to flash Professor Mancinelli (Renzo Marignano) her panties in order to get good grades. Mancinelli can barely take it; in fact, he's later hospitalized. Monica (Ilona Staller) is Loredana's friend.  Petruccio Sciacca (Alvaro Vitali) is a wannabe artist.  As always, Vitali plays a blithering fool. 

Loredana goes to Petruccio's studio to pose for him. To his amazement, Loredana gets naked. She wants to be his nude model. Petruccio quickly loses all self control and basically tries to rape her. Loredana is able to stop Petruccio by hitting him over the head with a pot. Loredana goes to see Monica, who works as a call girl on the side. Loredana is struggling with her sexuality; still a virgin and very confused.  Monica is more experienced and makes advances toward her. Loredana is also dealing with her parent's divorce. Elvira (Gisella Sofio), Loredana's mother, is currently seeing another guy. Osvaldo (Enzo Cannavale) finds Loredana's message on his windshield: "How are you going to support such a woman.  Leave her, asshole."

Gianni (Rodolfo Bigotti) is the new kid at school. Loredana is instantly attracted; the nerdy Lucia looks on. Loredana exposes her sheer panties for Gianni's benefit. Giannia takes Loredana to a spot by a lake where they fool around. Gianni gets too handsy skinny dipping, and Loredana runs out of the water. Gianni is pissed that she's such a tease, and he leaves her stranded at the lake. Comically nerdy Lucia offers to pose for Petruccio. She flirts obnoxiously, and he takes her to his studio. At the studio, Lucia lays it on thick. Again, Petruccio is surprised to find his model without clothes. Lucia then tries to forcefully jump his bones.

Professor Guidi (Gianfranco D'Angelo) replaces the hospitalized Mancinelli.  Loredana's usual seductive tactics don't work on him. She doesn't relent, and pulls off her panties in his car.  Guidi realizes she's only doing this to make Gianni jealous (who's still pissed at her for the tease at the lake). Doctor Marco Salvi (Giuseppe Pambieri) enters the scene.  He's an engineer that works for Loredana's father. She loses her virginity to him. Salvi didn't realize she was a virgin, and the whole experience is a bit sad. But Loredana is now obsessed with him, and follows him back to Turin. Loredana's father (Mario Carotenuto) is misbehaving with his secretary (Alena Penz) when he's notified that his daughter is MIA (gone to follow Salvi). Both of Loredana's parents try and track her down. Gianni also tries to track her down, and winds up in a chase with Salvi, ending with a bad motorcycle wipe-out. Fortunately no sheep were killed in the accident. Loredana returns to her home town.  She finds that Lucia had spilled the beans of her location to Gianni. Loredana (with Lucia) visits Gianni in the hospital.  When he wakes up and sees her, he hilariously calls her a bitch.

Confused and upset, Loredana returns to Monica for help. Loredana is tempted to get with one of Monica's johns but backs out at the last minute. Monica with her fat client (Franco Diogene). At home, she finds Osvaldo who gives her a rather touching speech on love and sex.  This seems to finally click with Loredana. Loredana wishes her parents would get back together, but it's not meant to be. On a positive note, she seems to have gotten past her sexual confusion and ends up with Gianni. THE END
