Shameful Shorts (Part 3)

 

Double Trouble (1966)/ Nudes & Nuts (1963)/ Hot Numbers (1965)/ Hot Rocks (1965)

Here's another round of Shameful Shorts; four nudie cutie featurettes from our man, Barry Mahon.

Double Trouble (1966)

A guy notices Dawn Bennett struggling with an itch in the hallway.

Dawn invites the guy up to her apartment.

In her apartment, Darlene Bennett is fast asleep.

Dawn changes into the exact same sheer nightie that Darlene wears.  You can see where this going, can't you?

Darlene goes to the kitchen for a drink and runs into the guy.  He naturally mistakes her for Dawn.

Guy: "Wow, you really got comfortable!"

Darlene: "What are you crazy or something? I've been like this all night."

The girls are back and forth into the kitchen: Darlene spurns his advances, whereas Dawn is happy to get frisky.  This causes much confusion for the guy.

He steps into the bedroom and figures out the mystery. "Well I'll be.  One of 'em will, one of 'em won't. I'm gonna get the one that will."

Dawn invites Darlene to join in the fun, and she obliges.

Nudes & Nuts (1963)

A blonde (Susan Evans) shows up for her first job as a nude model.

It's a tough job, but she's a quick learner.

The artist paints on her boobs.

A black girl and a ginger show up.  The artist tells the ginger he doesn't have time to squeeze her in today.

The ginger nearly walks out the door undressed, but is reminded by the artist.

Fully painted, the blonde goes for a shower.

A couple of friends arrive.  The brunette says this looks like fun and wants to get painted.

The brunette really thinks this is groovy, and offers to do it for free.

They all go to the shower to wash off the paint.  Susan Evans' pubic hair is briefly visible in this scene. Uh-oh.  Hopefully no authorities caught sight of this, or that would've been legal trouble for the theater. 

The brunette, blonde, ginger and black girl join the artist for some fun.

A sheet is put on the floor, then draped over everyone as they fool around underneath. 

Hot Numbers (1965)

A guy goes through his Rolodex, reminiscing about the many women he's met and seen naked.

Mahon does seem to have phoned this one in.  It's really just a parade of naked ladies with no real story.  I strongly suspect that Mahon had a bunch of scraps of footage of the multitude of women he'd filmed over the years, and he just pieced them together here.  So, yeah, it's really just a reel of archive footage pasted together.

June Roberts, the only recognizable lady in the mix.

Hot Rocks (1965)

The morning after a long night of partying, Ann, Betty and Judy are all hungover and dragging ass.

Ann and Judy manage to get going, but Betty is still half asleep refusing to get up: "'Leave me alone. Can't you see I'm dead?"

Jude tells her she needs to get to work.  She can't afford to lose her job.

Judy and Ann physically drag her out of bed.

Judy calls a friend who was also at the party.

Sally is also hungover.

In the kitchen, they can't seem to keep Betty from nodding off.

Judy:"We've got to do something or she'll lose her job!"

Ann: "There must be some way."

Judy: "Well, it better be good.  Look at her. She's passed out again."

They decide on the sauna to help them get back in the game. Ann goes first.

Betty begrudgingly goes next.

Judy pulls down Betty's panties.

After a while, Betty leaves and Judy comes chasing after her.

Betty has gone back to bed.

Ann and Judy are basically like 'fuck Betty', let's go to work.

Like the other Shameful Shorts, they're fun but not anything exceptional.  I do look forward to going through some more of Mahon's featurettes - they're like Whitman's Samplers of sleaze.
