The VHS release was re-titled Heiße Schnecken. "Hot Snails" (?)
Elke (Sylvia Engelmann) writes in her diary.
Sylvia Engelmann was a German sexploitation superstar for just a few years - with an extremely prolific burst in the last few years of the seventies. She appeared in softcore and hardcore -any sort of core, then tapered off in the eighties. Oddly, she pops up again in 2004 with a movie called "How to Prepare a Sofa". No idea what that's about.
Elke has reached an age where she gets overheated at night.
She doesn't understand what the fuck is going on.
Mom and dad (Hermann Michala andMargit Rauthe); she has a pretty normal and boring home.
At school with her friend Ellen (Yvonne Marroth).
Ellen comes on to her.
And this is where me and this film part company. Ellen fucking pees on her. I don't think I realized this was a hardcore film until this point. Not going to judge; whatever floats your boat - but this is goddamn gross to me. Just sayin'.
Elke's boyfriend Lothar (Patrick Donovan) wants to have sex, but she's just not into it.
Elke walks in on her parents fucking on the living room couch.
She tries again with Lothar - giving him a hand job. But, again, she's just not feeling it.
Elke has a heart to heart with mom.
Ellen has a party/orgy.
Ellen, of course, is the belle of the ball.
A guest tells Elke to stop acting like she's in kindergarten. Grow up and have sex.
He shows her that everyone at the party is having sex, including Lothar (with Gitta Schnoorbusch).
Elke finally finds a guy she actually wants to be with, and he's much older.
She shows her mother the "new Elke".
She goes on a date with Holger (Franz Kröger).
They have sex - yielding the only hardcore scene from Sylvia Engelmann in the film.
Holger then leaves her to go to Singapore, but Elke's not upset. Now she knows where her attraction lies - with older, more mature men. THE END

Double Feature: When it comes to sexual awakening films, it's hard to beat Without a Stitch (1968)
