Schulmädchen-Report 1 (1970)

(Full title: Schulmädchen-Report 1. Teil - Was Eltern nicht für möglich halten)  Here it is - the first in the Schulmädchen-Report series.  This was a huge success in Germany, topping the box office for several weeks, and spawning about a dozen sequels, and legions of imitators.  They all follow the same shtick: Framed as a documentary on sex in today's youth, featuring a series of stories/vignettes tied to the theme. Let's check out the one that started it all...

 First we get a groovy look at today's youth, riding around in their bedazzled VW's 

 It's all set to a lazy psychedelic score

 A field trip to a factory.

Renata is busted by Frau Dr. Vogt (Helga Kruck) for having sex in the school bus while everyone was touring the factory.  She's brought to the principal (Wolf Harnisch).

Dr. Bernauer (Günther Kieslich) is brought in to assess Renata's case.  He drops a bomb on the school board - Renata isn't the only schoolgirl having sex.  Indeed, it's rampant in today's culture.

He uses this magazine advert as an illustration.  The world has gone sex crazy.

And so, we're off - going through quick vignettes illustrating the sexual revolution.

The blonde Heike W. (Jutta Speidel) is the first example.

 Heike tries to temp a priest, but it doesn't end as she'd expect.

 Susanne U. (Lisa Fitz) is the center of the next story.

I should mention, these aren't like short stories where they have a punchline; they're literally just almost-random vignettes.  Sometimes it's just a girl having sex, with no real story surrounding it.  It should also be mentioned that, although these films are technically "schoolgirl" reports, all actresses are adults.

Evelyn tries on a see-through swimsuit.

She models it for her friend Elisabeth (Sandra Kruger)

Elisabeth lives in a very conservative household.

The experience awakened something in Elisabeth (Sandra Kruger)

  

 She masturbates and is caught by her mother.

 Michelle K. (Roswitha Randl) relates her past sexual experiences.

 Michelle K. (Roswitha Randl) gets pounded in a car.

Claudia F. (Mascha Rabben), Margit (Marion Haberl), and Karin (Karin Simsel)

Claudia goes for first-aid help in order to get with this dude.

 Karin and Claudia skinny dip for the benefit of the guy, then they have a threesome with him.

 Now we have Claudia begging forgiveness from her mother for her behavior. 

Hannelore (? actress) and Herma G. (Waltraud Schaeffler) meet their boyfriends in an abandoned building.

 Hannelore gets undressed.

 Her boyfriend has never had sex before.

A wheelbarrow full of whitewash splashes over them right at climax.

Genuinely funny: the boy thinks this was jiz from his orgasm.

Between each vignette, we have a boring reporter asking people on the street about sex. (yawn)

 The next story features Marlene (Gitti Netzle)

The final story - boring and too long; featuring Lilo S. (Claudia Höll) and some other girl.

The other tells how she was raped, etc.  A bit disturbing, but you'll be looking at your watch.

 Finally, the school board comes to the conclusion of whether to expel Renata.

Renata learns she's been exonerated. THE END

Hm.  It's hard to believe this is what started the whole Schulmädchen-Report phenomenon. It's not particularly erotic, and extremely boring. I suppose it's the format itself that intrigued German audiences - the faux documentary style might have been a novel concept at the time.
