(Original Title: Los amores de Laurita ) An Argentinian drama about a 40 year old pregnant woman who is given a memory exercise by her doctor. This leads her to recall the many past loves from her past.
This is Laurita (Alicia Zanca); 40 years old and pregnant with a fuddy duddy husband.
Her doctor suggests memory exercises and her first memory is back in high school making out with this dude, then getting busted by the police.
Fast forward, and we're now in the late sixties, visiting her dissident boyfriend in jail.
Laurita hangs with the hippies and talks about boring shit (which may be interesting to those that lived in Argentina in those days).
For me, the only reason to watch this self-indulgent drama are Alicia Zanca's nude scenes. Here, she has sex with the revolutionary/hippie.
For whatever reason, the French movie "Z" was actually very popular in Argentina (a film against totalitarianism), and audiences lined up in Buenos Aires to see the film in 1970.
Laurita hangs with her hippie friends to discuss the movie and things.
The girls say goodbye to their hippie boyfriends and it's time to move on...
It's the mid seventies, Laurita has a new man in her life.
There are a couple full frontal nude scenes from Alicia Zanca in this film.
Laurita's pregnant and gets an abortion.
Now we're in the late seventies/early eighties.
I'll say this - the movie does a good job with the styles/fashion for each time period.
Pablo slaps her around and rapes her.
Now we're back to present day, with Laurita pregnant and fondling herself thinking back.
It ends with her and the baby.
I thought this was going to be a sleazy exploitation film, and it turned out to be a boring drama. I suppose it has meaning to those that lived through these time periods in Argentina, but for everyone else, this serves as an opportunity to see Alicia Zanca naked, and that's about it.
