In Search of Lost Dust (1982)

(Original Title: En Busca del Polvo Perdido) From Director Enrique Guevara - the man who gave us the comedies What A Mess They Got Me Into! (1980) and A Permit To Flirt (1980) - a series of vignettes revolving around a sex therapist.

The title was originally going to be "Las Aventuras del Sexologoco", but after Raiders of the Lost Ark (in Spain -En Busca del Arca Perdida) they changed it to "In search of the lost dust" - a play on the In Search of the Lost Ark.

Carles Velat plays El Sexólogo - the Sexologist.  His wife Jenny (Eva Wagner) begs and pleads for him to stay.

He offers her something to keep her satisfied while he's gone.

The Sexologist heads to work, and we see some amazing marquees.  This one is for Aberraciones Sexuales de una Rubia Caliente.

 More awesome marquees.

Sra. Pardillo (Mirna Bel) is his first customer. Note that this movie thus becomes an anthology of sorts, with various sex themed stories.  The "sex therapist" trope is a fairly common convention;
There have been so many "sex therapist" movies. The Indecent Behavior movies, The Nymph Tapes (1973), Lust Sessions (2008), The Healers (1972), Dirty Doctor Deviate (1970) etc.  A very similar film is Under the Doctor (1976) which takes the anthology approach.

Sra. Pardillo explains that she was a raving nymphomaniac prostitute until she finally settled down and married a rich guy.

On their wedding night, they pound all evening, but....

Sra. Pardillo explains that, while she used to be in a state of constant arousal, now that she's married,  she feels nothing.

The Sexologist prepares her for a medical examination.

Holy shit. Actress Mirna Bel really wasn't shy.  Her career spanned just a few years, from 1977-1983, with eight films. She was brought into this movie because the writer, Ricard Reguant, had started his career with her as asst. director in Porno Girls (1977).

The Sexologist screws Sra. Pardillo to get to the bottom of the problem.

Eva Lyberten plays a mousy secretary who gets verbally abused by her boss.

But after hours, she's his dominatrix.

Eva Lyberten definitely was the flavor of the month when this film came out.  This little skit became the movie poster; and Lyberten supposedly was acting like an absolute diva on the set. She wanted to use the Stanislavsky method; so, the director had to lie and tell her this was just a rehearsal, when it was actually filming.  It's actually rather sad.  She thought she was going to be the next Marilyn Monroe and Xavier Cugat was going to make her a star... and instead, ends up addicted to drugs and penniless.

The Sexologist checks in on Jenny.  She says she's used up all the batteries for her vibrator - now what's she supposed to do?

As if to answer her question, the doorbell rings and it's a service guy from the gas company (Enric Pous).  To be continued...

Berta (Andrea Albani) is the next patient.  Albani (who we've met in Mad Foxes) is another sad case.  She also fell into drugs, and died young.

Nacho (Toni Maroño) and Toni (Pep Corominas) are her two gay roommates.  They try desperately to get her a lesbian partner - even breaking out a textbook as a guide.

After many failed attempts, they finally find a woman who is able to provide satisfaction for Berta.

But when they enjoy a Jacuzzi together, they find that the woman isn't really a woman (she's got a dick).  It's supposed to be funny... but it's not.

The Sexologist's next patient is Josele (Concha Valero), an overly ambitious saleswoman who provides her customers with extra help in the dressing room.

Ricard Reguant, the film's co-writer, actually plays the next patient.  Reguant and Enrique Guevara did so well with What A Mess They Got Me Into! (1980) and A Permit To Flirt (1980), I'm sad this was their final collaboration.

The always sexy and hilarious Lynn Endersson plays Guadalupe, a prostitute.

A nice view of her turf, Riera Alta Street in Barcelona,

The hooker gets picked by these two nerds - played by Ricard Reguant and Enrique Guevara!

The final story involves the patient Rafael (Jean Paul Perrier), who pleasures women a bit too well.

He leaves his wife, Patricia Cauzard, exhausted, then heads off to work.

He's not even out of the apartment building before he's rocking the world of the janitor (Julia Caballero).  You may remember Caballero from a small role in Black Candles (1982)

Rafael goes to work and shags yet another girl, his secretary (Carmen Serret).

Then it's on to his neighbor, Ana Roca, before going back to his wife.

It ends with Jenny mounting the gas company worker - and we see there is a line of men waiting for their turn at the Sexologist's wife. THE END

While no doubt supplying its fair share of sex and nudity, it wasn't quite at the level of Ricard Reguant and Enrique Guevara's previous collaborations. I think it has more to do with the format than anything else; these quick, stupid sex stories just fall flat. Sessomatto (1973) is another example where you have tons of talent and scorching hot actresses, but the "sexual vignettes" format is a bit too lame to overcome.
