Randy Milkman Davey bites off more than he can chew when he starts to deliver more than pints of milk to some of the bored housewives on his route
We've had all manner of professions featured in British comedies, so why not add milkman to the employment list? See: The Over-Amorous Artist (1974). Adventures of a Plumber's Mate (1978), The Ups and Downs of a Handyman (1976), Confessions of a Window Cleaner (1974), and Secrets of a Door to Door Salesman (1973).
Davey (Brendan Price) is a loser milkman; broke and alone.
This is the truck he drives.
Delivering milk, he accidentally bumps the door into Janice (Donna Reading). He asks: "Are you alright? I hope I didn't hurt your pussy." That's the level of humor we're dealing with.
We do get to see Donna Reading climb out of the bath, but this is sadly the only clear shot we'll get of nudity from this actress.
He returns later and the two hit it off.
When Janice bends over to fetch something in the kitchen cabinet, Davey gets a look under the skirt.
They go on a date to see a movie.
It's an art house picture with graphic sex. Janice can't deal with the content, and so they leave.
Back at his miserable apartment, they make love - and Janice pushes the idea that they should get married. I guess Davey is such a wimp, he goes right along with it.
Davey meets his buddy Sandy (Alan Lake) at a club.
Sandy introduces him to Diana (Julie Ege) and his girlfriend Joan (Jennifer Westbrook).
They hit the dance floor at the disco. Joan is wearing a dynamite see-through top.
Davey starts to become attracted to Diana. Can you blame him?
They have sex back at his place (no nudity from Julie Ege, sadly). But it's a one night stand for Diana and the fling goes nowhere.
Sandy takes Davey to a party (where people are just randomly naked). There he meets Margo (Nancie Wait). You may remember Wait from Au Pair Girls (1972).
Margot is a bit of a nympho, and out-of-control in bed.
The sex never ends; Davey can't even come up to breath before Margot is back to giving his dick a workout.
Davey has had enough. And what about Janice?
Meet Rita (Diana Dors) and Gerald (Bill Fraser). They are an unhappily married couple on Davey's milk delivery rounds.
With Gerald gone, Rita makes a pass at Davey.
Davey accidentally knocks her down, but she won't relent. When Gerald arrives unexpectedly, he catches them in this compromising position. Rita won't admit to her culpability, and poor Davey is arrested and loses his job.
It only gets worse for Davey; he's beat up, Janice leaves him, and he's still pursued by Margot. THE END
Not very funny or charming. If only it lived up to the publicity article pictured above - as it wasn't even very sexy. Nancie Wait is wonderful, however, going all-in as a psychopathic nympho, and delivering the lion's share of the film's T&A. Julie Ege is gorgeous as always, but phones this one in.
