Original Title: Convoi de filles; a couple are separated by war. One becomes a Nazi war hero, the other a Nazi prostitute.
AKA La Depravite del Terzo Reich- I imagine this was for a version with spiced-in sexual material. Convoy of Girls has next to zero erotic elements and is a snoozer. La Depravite del Terzo Reich looks like a much better film, even if it was just a bunch of Jess Franco footage pasted in.
Erich von Strasser (Jean-Marie Lemaire) and Renata (Brigitte Parmentier) are young lovers. However, the war separates them.
Erich becomes a decorated Nazi soldier and is rewarded by being taken to a mansion full of women there to pleasure the war heroes.
She tells him that her father was caught hiding a Jew, and she's subsequently been forced to serve as a whore.
Renata joins a special women's convoy headed to the Eastern front where they are scheduled to entertain the war-weary soldiers.
This was not an exploitation film. This was like Doctor Zhivago, with just about as much nudity. I understand there was a sexed-up version of this film where it was hybridized with a Jess Franco film, but this clearly wasn't that. I didn't press fast-forward, but I'd be lying if I said I watched it all - my mind wandered, and I may have fallen asleep. Awful.
★★☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
Erich is shocked to find his true love, Renata, among the women.
She tells him that her father was caught hiding a Jew, and she's subsequently been forced to serve as a whore.
Lots and lots of boring battle scenes.
Renata joins a special women's convoy headed to the Eastern front where they are scheduled to entertain the war-weary soldiers.
Erich and Renata are once again reunited.
They have sex.
Sadly, this is the film's best nude scene - where Renata wears a see-through nightgown.
Erich and Renata attempt to escape together on a sleigh.
As you probably predicted, it ends tragically. Erich is shot and dies. THE END
