Eaten Alive: A Tasteful Revenge (1999)

We've covered a lot of low budget junk on VZ1, and this may actually be the lowest.  Even though this is a direct to video grade Z production, the "plot" sounds odd and interesting enough: a girl gets fed up at work, so starts zapping coworkers with a shrink-ray, then gobbling them up!  Hey, it's at least worth a quick look.

This film shows you what you were capable of creating in '99 using a 33MHz processor and 24 bit video.  It's a big step up from the Commodore 64, but we're a long way from what you can do today.

 Isn't this cute?  The intro features two of the film's actresses (Barbara Joyce and Debbie D) modeling the W.A.V.E. Productions logo on wet tees.

The mousy and nerdy Stacey (Debbie D) speaks with a scientist, Dr. Baines (Dean Paul) who has invented a shrink/enlargement ray gun. Think of the possibilities.  We could enlarge cows and supply meat to the hungry!

Stacey is informed by her boss Trish (Barbara Joyce) at the cosmetics/fashion company that she's been passed over for a promotion.  The raise is going to Lisa (Tina Krause).

 Stacey steals the shrink-gun and goes to Lisa's place.  She finds her in the shower.

 She blasts her with the shrink ray.

 Oh my.  The special effects are barely a step above MS Paint.

Then she proceeds to eat her.  What the fuck? Okay, forget for a moment how awful the effects are in this film and think about how gross it would be to eat a living human that's six inches tall.

Since Lisa doesn't show up to work, Trish offers the promotion to Robin (Sunny in her only IMDb credit).

Stacey comes over to Robin's place.  This actress, Sunny, wasn't in any other movies, but should have been.  She is dynamite - the main reason to watch this shitty movie.

 Robin says she needs to try on some bathing suits in preparation for a modeling gig.

 Stacey tries on some of the bikinis with her.

 (whistle)

This is as close as Sunny goes to full frontal as she starts to pull down her bikini bottoms (then the camera frustratingly cuts away).

 Stacey pulls the shrink-ray gun from her purse.

She shrinks Robin then eats her.  The whole eating thing is such an odd idea.  I can get behind the shrink ray bit, but why does she have to eat them?

 Stacey is once again in Trush's office. This time she pulls a gun on her.

 Then she makes her strip for no reason.

 Finally, she whips out the shrink ray gun.

She shrinks Trish then eats her.  This time we get to see her insider Stacey's mouth. 

It ends with this stupid question.  And her name is Trish not Tina - I even went back and listened to make sure I was correct.  There is no girl named Tina in this film - unless they are referring to actress Tina Krause.

Does it really matter?  This is garbage.  I'm immensely glad I got to see some chick named Sunny naked.  Otherwise, there is nothing to see here.
