Carry On films are therapeutic for me - chicken soup for the funny bone. They feature the same cast, the same brand of cheeky British humor, and are just a reliable source of silly fun. They never get as risque as the Confessions films, and even Benny Hill could be more naughty. If you enjoy shows like On the Buses and Are You Being Served?, then this is just what the doctor ordered.
Ah, yes. The title credits aren't even over, and that trademark Carry On humor is already in full effect.
A jungle expedition in search of the elusive Oozium bird is led by famed ornithologist Professor Tinkle (Frankie Howerd) and financed by Lady Evelyn Bagley (Joan Sims) who has an ulterior purpose for being here - she's searching for her lost husband and son who disappeared many years ago.

Tinkle, Boosey and Upsidasi |
I can't possibly record the mile-a-minute gags throughout this film. The dialog is extremely funny if you can keep up; the comedic situations are pure silliness. In this example, Boosey takes June's water pitcher, who was giving Lady Bagley a bath.
Boosey stands behind Lady Bagley, pretending to be June, and pours water on her.
Chumley, out bird watching, sees Lady Bagley naked and being bathed by Boosey. (This is the only "nudity" in the film. You see a body double from far away - no amount of Blu-ray pixels could even make it clear.) Note that Chumley hands the binoculars to a gorilla who also takes a look.
Also out in the jungle is Ug, a Tarzan type character played by (Terry Scott).
Ug spies June by a small water hole. He's enraptured by the cleavage and swings down on a vine.
June immediately falls in love with Ug.
Upskirt alert as the two roll around in the sand for a bit.
Ug has gone to the wrong tent. He's now getting pawed by a randy Lady Bagley. He tries to escape, and she accidentally rips off his animal skin loincloth... and then realizes Ug is her long lost son!
The next day the gang is captured by the jungle tribe, the Noshas.
Just as the group is about to be roasted for stew, help arrives...
It's the all-female Lubby-Dubby tribe led by the stunning Leda (Valerie Leon). They are excited to see "White Men"!
Leda has the men carried back to their Lost World of Aphrodisia where they will be forced to mate with them.
Meanwhile, Ug is being taught by June. A repeated gag has Ug getting to a word with sexual connotation and lifting her up to have sex. In this instance, he gets to "Bead" and says "Bed"...
Ug decides it's time to go rescue his mother.
At Aphrodisia, the men are exhausted from all the mating. They meet the king the only male of the tribe. King Tonka who turns out to be Lady Bagley's missing husband Walter Bagley (Charles Hawtrey).
Professor Tinkle is excited to learn that the Lubby-Dubby tribe is in possession of the Oozlum bird.
The British Army arrives to rescue them, but Boosey doesn't want to be rescued. He's perfectly happy to stay and "mate".
Ug unleashes a stampede of elephants which crush the British soldiers underfoot. The women now have a fresh supply of White Men.
In the end, everyone's happy, except Ug who wears a suit to work (but barefoot) trying to fit into modern society. THE END
Totally what you'd expect from a Carry On film - not the least disappointing. A perfect escape from our angry politically correct world.
