REVIEW: Well, this was insanely stupid, but I have to say that I had fun watching it. With campy adventure and and Ivars' boob(s) out throughout, you can't complain.

SYNOPSIS
A missionary happens upon a gold mine hidden in the jungle. He takes some of the precious stone back to his cabin. But those mines are quarried by The Amazons. The Amazons send a few arrows through the missionary and his wife. The missionaries had a daughter named Liana (Analía Ivars). She was taken in by a local jungle tribe and raised as one of their own. Now she is like Sheena, a friend of animals, swinging from vines, wearing precious little. She learns from a friend of her father's the story of her parents' death at the hands of the Amazons. She also learns that the gold mine is located way off in the Blue Mountains.
Liana consults with the tribe elder about her quest. He permits her to go to the Blue Mountains - and to bring back one of their tribesmen that was captured there. She takes along Koukou the Shaman (Stanley Kapoul) who can't swing from vines like her. Plenty of forced comic relief via Koukou. Liana and Koukou come upon a band also traveling to the Blue Mountains. The group is led by archaeologist Harvey (Emilio Linder) and his wife Bella (Alicia Príncipe). The group travels together to the Blue Mountains, but Liana doesn't get along with all of the archaeologist's crew. Bud the Jungle Guide (Antonio Mayans) doesn't like having a female along. She takes issue with that and he says: "Women's liberation, even in the jungle, eh?" Later the two patch things up:
Liana: Why do you hate women so much? Why?
Bud: Only a certain kind. Not you, Liana.
Liana: But I offended you terribly. I mustn't tell anybody I'm better.
Bud: But you should. I like a girl who knows how to defend herself.
Liana: I'm so happy now.
Harvey's wife, Bella, goes skinny dipping. She notices a mysterious cave and is hypnotically called to it. The mist from the cave entrance causes Bella to pass out. The Amazons find Bella and bring her into their temple. The group, looking for Bella, also gets knocked out at the cave entrance. Bella, still naked, finds her friends unconscious. She wakes up Harvey. He gives her his poncho to wear. [Dammit, Harvey, why'd you have to go and do that?] Bud, Koukou, Liana, Bella and Harvey explore the caves. Unfortunately, they soon run into the Amazons.
Uruck the Temple Guardian (William Berger) is the leader of the Amazons, and the one who ordered the death of Liana's parents. His right hand (Françoise Blanchard) prepares to deliver their punishment. Liana has to battle her one-on-one. Liana wins the battle, but she's still chained in the dungeon with Bud and Koukou. But what about Harvey and Bella? They're chained together, surrounded by spikes and being whipped by the lead Amazon. She laughs maniacally as the two slip closer and closer upon the deadly spikes. Would you believe Harvey and Bella fucking die? The Amazons are ultimately defeated. They bring the captive tribesman back to his tribe, and everyone lives happy ever after... except Bella and Harvey who died a horrible death. The final scene features Bud and Liana in love on an elephant. THE END
The actress playing the amazon leader Rena (with the eye patch) is Eva Leon, not Francoise Blanchard
